Tremors continue in Albania. Two aftershocks were recorded yesterday, measuring 4.5 and 4.4 on the Richter scale 17 minutes after midnight in the city of Durres.
The death toll has reached 40, while those injured reach 685. There are 20 persons still missing and authorities have intensified efforts to find them under rubble.
Schools on the island of Kithira operate normally today. Experts did not detect any serious damages in school buildings after yesterday’s earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale, in the sea area between the island of Crete and Anti-Kithira.
