Increased traffic at this hour on Kifisias Avenue from Psychiko to Abelokipoi in both directions, on Kifissou Avenue from Metamorphosi to the three Bridges junction, heading inbound and from Peristeri to Acharnon heading outbound, on Mesogeion from the level of Cholargos heading towards the city center, on Syggrou avenue heading towards Syntagma square and on the coastal highway from Piraeus to the Faliron Delta heading towards Glyfada.
A car accident with one person dead and two injured occurred in the early hours of Monday at the Athens-Lamia national highway at the level of Oinofyta, causing delays in traffic. A KTEL bus collided with a truck, causing the death to the truck driver.

Twenty people arrested in Saturday’s operations to remove people from two squats in central Athens will be tried this morning.
The charges include disturbance of peace, attempt to inflict serious bodily damage, damage of property and violence against police.
Six police officers were injured during the operation.
An ATM explosion was reported at 3.30 this morning in the northern suburb of Lykovrisi. Τhe perpetrators took money, while the explosion caused material damage at the bank entrance.

In the early hours of Monday weak lava began flowing out of Taal volcano – located some 70km (45 miles) south of the capital of Philippines, Manila.
It comes after it emitted a huge plume of ash, triggering the mass evacuation of 8 thousand people from the area.
Taal is the Philippines’ second most active volcano.
