A 55year old employee working at the Municipality of Dionysos, northern Attica was fatally shot around 9 this morning by a 77year old man. The shooter has been arrested.

The head of the World Health Organization will hold a special meeting with officials in Beijing on Monday to discuss how to contain the coronavirus that has killed 81 people and left more than 400 in a critical condition.

In Athens, Minister of Health Vasillis Kikilias is currently holding a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to discuss measures to avoid a spread of the virus.

Efforts to find survivors from a powerful earthquake in eastern Turkey have begun winding down as the death toll climbed to at least 36.

The magnitude-6.8 quake shook Turkey’s Elazig province late on Friday, causing buildings to collapse.

14 refugees were injured at a car accident on the Thessaloniki-Kavala national highway. The refugees were illegally travelling from Evros to the mainland.

US basketball legend Kobe Bryant and his 13year old daughter are among nine people killed in a helicopter crash in California.

Bryant, 41, was travelling in a private helicopter when it came down and burst into flames.
